A New Home

This post is less about our new home and more about the amazing friends that we have.
We first saw this home in early June when I was 33 weeks pregnant.  We closed on the house on July 21st and planned to move in as soon as we could.  We first decided to have some repairs and a thorough cleaning done before moving however.  That put our move-in date at July 31st - just 4 days before my August 4 due date.  Of course, that didn’t work out and we were in the hospital on the day that we were supposed to be moving into our new home.
This is where our amazing friends came through for us and moved  for us!   While Kent & I spent the day getting acquainted with Erik and adjusting to our new life as parents, our friends finished packing up our old house and moving everything over to our new home.  Kent had already rented a U-Haul truck for the weekend and had thankfully, moved some of our boxes over on Friday afternoon.  However, all of our big, bulky furniture still had to be moved and sadly, we hadn’t completely packed up everything (bathrooms, kitchen, office, etc still had unpacked items).  And not only did they move us, they set up our Master Bedroom and Erik’s nursery nook in our room so that we wouldn’t have to worry about that when we got home.  It was such a wonderful thing to come home and be able to go straight to bed.
Just saying Thank you to the Chalkers, Cochrans, Deiningers, Huffmans, Isidros and Zbaraschuks doesn’t seem like enough.  We owe our friends BIG TIME for all the help they gave us.
